Summer workshops

For both age groups - Monday to Friday - 9.00am to 3.30pm
Doors open from 8.55am

Summer workshops are split into two age groups -
3 to 5 (or 6) years of age and 6 to 12 years of age.
Each age group has a qualified teacher (and at least one assistant). They have their own designated classroom but also spend time outdoors each day (weather dependent). The workshops are designed for children to continue informal learning during the summer but maintain fun and enjoyment.

3 to 5 year olds

The younger group has themes such as Pirates and Mermaids, Knights and Princesses, Cowboys, Dinosaurs and The Circus and Animals. These workshops are based on free play with children working on arts and crafts or phonic activities with the teacher or classroom assistant.

Out of school hours babysitting can be arranged. This is not included in the costs. Please contact Ruth to discuss.

6 to 12 year olds

Older Summer workshops are based on themes such as Space, Harry Potter, Ghost Busters and Doctor Who. The older children have a strong arts and crafts base with reading and writing activities included within the daily and weekly activities. Activities are planned on individual, pair work and small group basis. Summer workshops are not designed as intensive English lessons. The emphasis is on fun!

Out of school hours babysitting can be arranged to lengthen day. (These are not included in the costs.)
