Preschool

A home from home

introduction

Preschool should be a place of fun and play.  The majority of learning at Preschool is achieved through play. Through play, children can develop social and cognitive skills, mature emotionally, and gain the self-confidence required to engage in new experiences and environments.

We are considered a “preschool” because we are preparing children to start school.  We learn to follow rules, take turns and negotiate a classroom.  We use language you wouldn’t use at home, for instance, asking children to raise their hands, or to “line up one behind the other”.  All these experiences prepare your child for school.

Introduction

Dynamic Learning Preschool provides early years education for children aged 3 to 4 years of age.

Each child is viewed as an individual. Children are supported and encouraged by an established and experienced team of qualified teachers and assistants, who are highly skilled at nurturing children’s understanding of the world with hands-on project based learning.

These projects can be planned by our staff or driven by our pupils’ interests.

We offer a balance of learning through play and more formal learning, engaging with our children, keeping children motivated to explore, create, adapt, persevere, and collaborate.

As well as Literacy and Numeracy, our days are made up of Science, Art, Craft, Cooking and Outdoor play.  DL has become known as a place where children flourish and grow in an environment of love, care, creativity, fun and academic excellence.
